Enterprise trade unions serve a crucial function in advocating for and safeguarding the rights and well-being of workers. Specifically, a trade union is
- Legal representative: The union advocates for employees in the negotiation and execution of collective labor agreements with employers. This agreement serves as a crucial legal foundation to secure advantages related to wages, bonuses, working conditions, labor safety, and additional benefits.
- Enforcement supervisor: The trade union is tasked with overseeing the enforcement of labor laws, collective labor agreements, and the internal regulations of the enterprise, ensuring that workers’ rights are upheld.
- Consultation and assistance: When employees face issues or conflicts concerning their rights, the union will offer legal guidance, support and engage in the resolution and safeguarding of their rightful entitlements.
- Welfare advocates: The union actively proposes and negotiates with companies to enhance welfare systems for employees, going beyond mandatory regulations to include additional benefits such as housing assistance, travel, medical examinations and treatments, advanced training, and more.
